Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes a rash with itchy, scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp. Psoriasis is a common, long-term disease with no cure. Psoriasis is now considered as a systemic inflammatory disease with increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, Diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, arthritis etc. The disease manifestations are due to increase in proinflammatory cytokines (TNF‐α, IFN‐γ, IL‐6, IL‐8, IL‐12, IL‐17A and IL‐18) and altered T cell profile (increased Th1/Th17, reduced Treg cells).

Based on recent studies our product, HealGen by virtue of its immunomodulatory cytokine profile has the ability to reduce the inflammation when applied locally. It also corrects the altered T cell profile by increasing Treg cells population. For plaque psoriasis, HealGen can be applied locally application unlike the current available systemic immunomodulatory drugs and biologicals.
